Job Overview:
Join our team as an Activities Director at Kokoro Assisted Living. We are looking for a dedicated individual to lead and coordinate engaging activities for our residents, promoting social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being within our community.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a diverse range of activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Organize events, outings, and programs that enhance residents’ quality of life and foster a sense of community.
- Provide counseling on aging issues, caregiving, and long-term care to support residents and their families.
- Oversee memory care programs and activities to promote cognitive function and emotional well-being.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and external partners to ensure a positive experience for all.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in activities coordination within a senior living or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of Home community care, Dementia care, Social work, Assisted living, Aging issues counseling, and Caregiving is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse groups of individuals.
- Passion for working with seniors and creating meaningful experiences for them.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and proactive.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.14 – $24.09 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
